The weather had been good all week and Umåker was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Big Printer. Jailbreaker ended up behind the leader. Par Bonheur got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. When the startcar left the field Bravo Charlie started to galop and lost 50 m.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Unknown showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Ambitious Gentleman was disturbed and galoped 50 m.

Ambitious Gentleman galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Big Printer sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
