The weather had been good all week and Åmål was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Running Temptress found a gap and took the lead. Rugged Universe followed before Nørd Ulrich. This is the positions after 500m. Nørd Ulrich, Tomorrows Hero, Coockie Monster, Running Temptress, Sliding Plan, Rugged Universe, , . Running Temptress sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Running Temptress was still in the lead after 1500m. Rugged Universe galloped for 40 m. Rugged Universe suddenly took over the lead. There was a new leader after 2500m, Running Temptress. Running Temptress kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Dick Sjöberg tried a little too much on the homestretch and Rugged Universe started to galopp and lost 50 m. No-one could catch Running Temptress today who won before Nørd Ulrich and Coockie Monster.
