One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rebel Kronos tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Safety Operation that came steaming ahead. Fighting Power showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




This is the positions after 500m. Rebel Kronos, Safety Operation, Sowing Needle, Silvia, Muscular Pirate, Fighting Power, , .




Safety Operation took the lead after 1000m. Rebel Kronos didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Sowing Needle was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Safety Operation followed by Silvia and Fighting Power. Lane two Rebel Kronos followed by Sowing Needle and Muscular Pirate.




Safety Operation kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Rebel Kronos was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. With only a little left of the race Fighting Power galoped for 30 m. Safety Operation sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Safety Operation kept the speed the whole finish and won before Sowing Needle and Rebel Kronos.
