The weather had been good all week and Umåker was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Akhatova found a gap and took the lead. Arcade Fire followed before Caesars Dream. Stunning Sunray quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Stunning Sunray clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Stunning Sunray was still in the lead after 1500m. Stunning Sunray were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line. Arcade Fire never caught up with Stunning Sunray who won. Prince came third. Results
