One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Giresse. Hard Sword ended up behind the leader. Appelle got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

Radiating Fall saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Hard Rocket galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Appelle looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Beautiful Rhapsody couldn't come out from behind the leader, Radiating Fall.

Radiating Fall was still in the lead after 1500m.

Giresse litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Hard Sword was disturbed and galopped for 20 m.

Radiating Fall never caught up with Giresse who won. Magic Mission came third.
