The weather had been good all week and Haapajärvi was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Holy Necklace took the lead after a very quick start. driver couldn't keep Rebellious Cruiser to trotting so they were disqualified. Sad Lion saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Rebellious Cruiser who started to galop and lost 40 m. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Clever Strategy looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Clever Strategy looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Clever Strategy didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race. Results
