One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Old Satellite could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Volga saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Volga was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Matthieu accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Old Satellite suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Matthieu sprinted over the finishline before Old Satellite and Volga.
