The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solänget this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Tout De Suite sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Tout De Suite was in fine shape and held the lead.




Advanced Asteroid looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Big Shot couldn't come out from behind the leader, Tout De Suite. Money Management galloped way to long and was disqualified. Sulfur was disturbed and galoped 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tout De Suite followed by Galant Hoff and Stifling Feeling. Lane two Big Shot followed by Sulfur and Advanced Asteroid. Advanced Asteroid galloped for 30 m.



Big Shot speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Money Management to trotting so they were disqualified. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Stifling Feeling galop. Stifling Feeling lost 50 m. Jim Frick tried a little too much on the homestretch and Advanced Asteroid started to galopp and lost 30 m.




Tout De Suite sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
