One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Old Energy tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Sad Beard that came steaming ahead.




Tempting Amazon saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Sad Beard looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Old Energy couldn't come out from behind the leader, Tempting Amazon.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Tempting Amazon today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Confident Ship gallopped for 50 m.




Tempting Amazon kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Tempting Amazon sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Sad Beard made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Old Energy.
