One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Merci Encore tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Indian Queen that came steaming ahead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Merci Encore sprinted to the front.

Merci Encore clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Merci Encore today. It continued in the lead.

Merci Encore were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Indian Queen never caught up with Merci Encore who won. Grasping Nova came third.
