One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Useless Journeytothemoon could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Prima Doll, Real Thing, Useless Journeytothemoon, Vouloir Gagner, Impatient Diamond, Perfect Needle, Eau Du Cologne, . Eau Du Cologne started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Useless Journeytothemoon took the lead after 1000m. Prima Doll didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Impatient Diamond accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



With only a little left of the race Useless Journeytothemoon galoped for 20 m. Perfect Needle litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Perfect Needle kept the speed the whole finish and won before Useless Journeytothemoon and Impatient Diamond.
