The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Lieksa today. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Metronomo was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Šprým Hejno saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Aria Af Skövde sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Aria Af Skövde was still in the lead after 1500m. Metronomo started to gallop after 1500m and Esa Holopainen had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Turning Tropic suddenly took over the lead. Turning Tropic sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Turning Tropic galoped for 60m and was disqualified. Šprým Hejno won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
