The weather had been good all week and Joensuu was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Faerie Impostor Baby took the lead after a very quick start. Antti Teivainen wanted a little to much in the start and Profit Embassador galoped for 20 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Bongo Fever Cherry sprinted to the front.

Samba Mamba took the lead after 1000m. Nil By Mouth didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Nil By Mouth looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Pharaoh galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Samba Mamba showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Nil By Mouth sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Nil By Mouth were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Mauri Jaara tried a little too much on the homestretch and Faerie Impostor Baby started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Bongo Fever Cherry won. Profit Embassador came in second. Focused Printer caught third place.
