The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Necklace Festis found a gap and took the lead. Stopping Crystal followed before Opposing News.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Jumping Temptress galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Opposing News was still in the lead after 1500m.




Opposing News didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Opposing News kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Stopping Crystal galopped for 50 m on the homestretch.




Necklace Festis kept the speed the whole finish and won before Opposing News and Floating Wind.
