The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Rudolf was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Fläsk Bara saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Happy Sword who started to galop and lost 50 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Hollyweird galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Fläsk Bara was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Fläsk Alena gallopped for 20 m.

Fläsk Alena suddenly took over the lead.

Hollyweird was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Rudolf suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Danjar won. Rudolf came in second. Fläsk Alena caught third place.
