One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Speeding Comet found a gap and took the lead. Just Universe followed before Muscular Missile. Charles Degiorgio wanted a little to much in the start and Speeding Comet galoped for 10 m.




Speeding Comet was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




Just Universe looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Muscular Missile couldn't come out from behind the leader, Speeding Comet.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Just Universe galop. Just Universe lost 40 m.




No-one could catch Muscular Missile today who won before Speeding Comet and Just Universe.
