One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Miss Horsetail. Rugged Architecture ended up behind the leader. Volunteer got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Veli-Erkki Paavola wanted a little to much in the start and Spring Spring Spring galoped for 50 m.

Printing Solution quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Spring Spring Spring took the lead rather easily.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Kings Ransom followed by Figeac and Hero Master. Lane two Spring Spring Spring followed by Volunteer and Rugged Architecture. Miss Horsetail galloped for 30 m.

Kings Ransom litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

driver couldn't keep Calexico to trotting so they were disqualified.

Final standings. 1 Rugged Architecture, 2 Kings Ransom, 3 Spring Spring Spring.
