The weather had been good all week and Mantorp was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Frozen Hero could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Piu Tango was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Speedy Girl Pegasos sprinted to the front. Piu Tango started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Speedy Girl Pegasos was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Speedy Girl Pegasos followed by Quilly Du Marais and Frozen Hero. Lane two Passionate Fiber followed by The Beaver and Pinstripes Born To Late.

Quilly Du Marais speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

The Beaver was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Piu Tango galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.

Quilly Du Marais didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
