The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Halmstad this day.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Alien Patrol was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Patrik Södervall wanted a little to much in the start and Monkey Fist galoped for 20 m.
Monkey Fist saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.
The Duke took the lead after 1000m. Sneaky Asteroid didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Sneaky Asteroid accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
King City Johnson was first on the homestretch followed by Sneaky Asteroid and Moonshiner.
King City Johnson showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.
