The weather had been good all week and Halmstad was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Tripping Temptress found a gap and took the lead. Goofy Spring followed before Beauchamp.




Beauchamp quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Beauchamp who started to galop and lost 30 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Lonely Summer galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.
