Turning Sunset quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Screwdriver sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Screwdriver followed by Copernicus and Precious Ace. Lane two Burning Desire followed by Black Celebration and Turning Sunset. Screwdriver didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Black Celebration gallopped 20 m after 2000m. Screwdriver sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Burning Desire was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Copernicus sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy. Results
