It had been raining for several days at Skellefteå but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Big Lightning found a gap and took the lead. Sad Fall followed before Emerald Warrior.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Emerald Warrior looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Sad Fall couldn't come out from behind the leader, Big Lightning. Wandering Lovebreaker galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Big Lightning followed by Emerald Warrior and Famous Bouquet. Lane two Red Baron followed by Sad Fall and Wandering Lovebreaker. Sad Fall started to gallop after 1500m and Lennart Forsgren had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Emerald Warrior gallopped for 50 m.



Red Baron was first on the homestretch followed by Big Lightning and Emerald Warrior.

Örjan Kihlström tried a little too much on the homestretch and Wandering Lovebreaker started to galopp and lost 50 m.




Red Baron didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
