The sun was shining on Rovaniemi and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Birra Caravaggio sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Veli-Erkki Paavola wanted a little to much in the start and Decisive Pressure galoped for 20 m.




Jumping Scope saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Birra Caravaggio took the lead after 1000m. Fly By Night didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Birra Caravaggio followed by Decisive Pressure and Old Box. Lane two Fly By Night followed by Jumping Scope and Just Arraow. Jumping Scope started to gallop after 1500m and Hanna Olofsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Birra Caravaggio didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Birra Caravaggio were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Fly By Night sprinted over the finishline before Birra Caravaggio and Jumping Scope.
