One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Powerful General tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Pink Knockout that came steaming ahead.
This is the positions after 500m. Jeanne Moreau, Cheerful Thinking, Good Looking Wave, Le Poignard, Criminal Giggle, Rumbling Mustache, Pink Knockout, Confident Blast.
Pink Knockout looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Criminal Giggle couldn't come out from behind the leader, Jeanne Moreau.
