The leader couldn't hold the lead and On Alert sprinted to the front.

On Alert looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Climbing Knight couldn't come out from behind the leader, Y Dirweddol Ceffyl.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one On Alert followed by Joanna Palema and Toronto Du Gohier. Lane two Helpful Wolf followed by Y Dirweddol Ceffyl and Climbing Knight.

Helpful Wolf suddenly took over the lead. Climbing Knight was disturbed and gallopped for 30 m.

Toronto Du Gohier galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Helpful Wolf sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
