One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Buddy Holly. Helpful Stone ended up behind the leader. Log Jammer got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. General De Rapide, Elegant Red, Mean Mr. Mustard, Süsspeisen, Helpful Stone, Pommern Larockma, Buddy Holly, Log Jammer.

Helpful Stone took the lead after 1000m. Log Jammer didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Helpful Stone followed by Buddy Holly and Süsspeisen. Lane two Log Jammer followed by Light Bouquet and Pommern Larockma. General De Rapide started to gallop after 1500m and Kari Rosimo had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Light Bouquet was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Helpful Stone sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Mauri Jaara tried a little too much on the homestretch and The Terrible Girl started to galopp and lost 10 m.

Buddy Holly made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Helpful Stone.
