The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Hey Joe tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Roseraie that came steaming ahead. Turning Diamond suddenly started to galop. Ville Nisonen had to struggle to get Turning Diamond to tror again and succeded after 20 m. Köttbullen suddenly started to galop. Peter Untersteiner had to struggle to get Köttbullen to tror again and succeded after 50 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Köttbullen, Turning Diamond, Roseraie, Silvio Tango, Hey Joe, Ticking Heat, Eiv, Dreaming Paradigm.

Silvio Tango took the lead after 1000m. Eiv didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Silvio Tango followed by Eiv and Turning Diamond. Lane two Hey Joe followed by Köttbullen and Roseraie.

Eiv put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Hey Joe suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Ticking Heat galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.

Hey Joe kept the speed the whole finish and won before Eiv and Silvio Tango.
