One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Space Shadow sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Climbing Technology looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Beauchamp couldn't come out from behind the leader, Space Shadow.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Space Shadow followed by Climbing Technology and Well Said Pierce. Lane two Beauchamp followed by Lastsundayinmay and Stolen Pen. Stolen Pen started to gallop after 1500m and Ulf Eriksson had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Inkas Blackfoot started to gallop after 1500m and Åke Sundberg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Space Shadow didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Montgomery Burns gallopped 20 m after 2000m.

Space Shadow were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Space Shadow kept the speed the whole finish and won before Beauchamp and Climbing Technology.
