The weather had been good all week and Solvalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rising Son was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Joking started to galop and lost 30 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Galant Hoff, Rising Son, Joking, Soon To Be, God Of Horses, Quick Wave, Sten Tuff, Happy Princess. Happy Princess galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




God Of Horses took the lead after 1000m. Joking didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Joking accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Joking kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Joking sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






No-one could catch Joking today who won before Rising Son and God Of Horses.
