One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Confident Cruiser found a gap and took the lead. Sergeant Body followed before Paux.




Maija Kemp saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Maija Kemp clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. driver couldn't keep Confident Cruiser to trotting so they were disqualified.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Maija Kemp today. It continued in the lead. Sergeant Body galloped way to long and was disqualified.



Maija Kemp kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Paux sprinted over the finishline before Mac Kenzie and Maija Kemp.
