It had been raining for several days at Östersund but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Running Nutcracker tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Close Dragon that came steaming ahead.

This is the positions after 500m. Coffrefort D'argent, Close Dragon, Oracle, Power Piece, Polished Puma, Running Nutcracker, Just Space, Dancing Grove.

Close Dragon took the lead after 1000m. Polished Puma didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Running Nutcracker suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.

Power Piece took the lead after 1000m. Close Dragon didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Kenth Åkerlund tried a little too much on the homestretch and Oracle started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Running Nutcracker sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
