One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Bobby B tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to
Arabesque that came steaming ahead. Stretching
Pearl galloped for 60m and was disqualified.
Arabesque was in fine shape and held the lead.
Bobby B took the lead after 1000m.
Arabesque didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Bobby B followed by
Windmaker and
Screaming Thinking. Lane two
Arabesque followed by
Mieux Di Quattro and
Wiss Shadow.
Stretching
Pearl galloped for 50 m.
Bobby B kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Windmaker won.
Bobby B came in second.
Arabesque caught third place.
