The sun was shining on Leangen today. A perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Keep The Beat could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. A bird flew just in front of Jade Princess who started to galop and lost 30 m. Smooth Win looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Jade Princess couldn't come out from behind the leader, Keep The Beat. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Keep The Beat followed by Smooth Win and . Lane two Jade Princess followed by and . Keep The Beat looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Keep The Beat showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Jade Princess made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Smooth Win. Results
